Al-Humdulillah (All praises due to Allah) we are excited, humbled and thankful that Allah blessed us with a successful grand re-opening in our new location on 93rd & Baltimore!Hundreds of brothers and sisters from across the Chicago land area and even parts of Indiana and Wisconsin showed their support by sharing in the festivities.
We were excited to have the acting Midwest regional convener, Imam Bashir Ali from Peoria, IL to give the Friday Khutbah (sermon). We were also grateful to have been joined and supported by our Intra-faith partner - The Mosque Foundation and by Dr. Zaher Sahloul and members of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC).
Our young adults made us proud with Qur'anic recitation by Taqi Salaam, and poetry by the beautiful young sisters of Indigo and by Terrance Muhammad.
We are grateful to Allah to be able to open the doors to the community at-large and welcome all to take ownership and share in continuing to grow holistic Muslim family and community life.
